Nickel/Trick strainer

Even in het kader 'dan doen we het gelijk maar goed', heeft iemand ervaring met die ND en/of Trick strainers, en waar koop je ze hier in Nederland? Vrij veel positieve verhalen over gehoord, ooit op een Craviotto gespeeld die een ND had, maar nu wil ik hem zelf gaan gebruiken en is-ie nergens te vinden. De Trick heb ik helemaal geen ervaring mee, maar schijnt ook erg oké te zijn.

Die bovenste heb ik op mijn Lignum snare. Echt topspul, super gemakkelijk en vlot.

Die Trick is erg groot en relatief zwaar, maar de werking is heel bijzonder. Supersoepele afstelling en heel precies.

Ik zie ne op FB dat Ronn ook nieuwe strainers heeft. De R4.0

One of the unique features of the new R4.0 is the ability to adjust the
amount of friction on the tension knob. By inserting a screw driver,
allen key into the adjustment hole in the back of the throw off and
turning the knob you can increase or decrease the amount friction.

The same friction mechanism also applies to the swivel lever -
tightening the lower assembly bolt increases or decreases the amount of
friction. If you removed the nylon washers you can lock the lever in
place so it never moves.

The mounting track has been re-designed for builders who make drums
with varying shell thickness. The R4.0 no longer requires a specialty
bolt to attach it. Any 4-5mm nut / nylock & bolt will work. The
track is designed to accept either the nut or the bolt head.

All R4.0 throw offs will ship with the snare quick release mechanism
(including the butt end). This feature was only available as an upgrade
to the R Class.

All R4.0 throw offs will ship with a rubber grommet for the throw off and butt end.

The R4.0 will be available in chrome, black and gold. (Sorry - not
available in "Home Depot" brass finish because that just looks so
cheap).

As an added bonus for OEM's the R4.0 design lends itself very easily to
custom branding. By creating a new mounting back, custom manufacturers
can add their own unique look to their throw off. This custom back was
designed for DW and incorporates the turret lug design. (DW is not
offering the R4.0 as an option - this is for illustrative purposes
only.)

Nounou, eerst faken ze de Nickelworks strainer en nu onderscheiden ze zich doordat de spanknop zwaarder of soepeler kan worden gezet? Het is me wat..

Die Trick is zoals Punky al zei best groot maar werkt echt heel fijn.
Persoonlijk vind ik hem fijner dan de Nickel.
De Nickel strainer vind ik niet zo soepel werken.

Het kan verkeren, ik heb 2 zeer soepele nickel strainers en 1 is wat stroef maar niets dat een jaarlijkse smeerbeurt niet kan verhelpen.

Ik heb de trick ook op een snare maar ik vind deze erg indirect aanvoelen. Zou het ff niet anders kunnen verwoorden :p

Ik had een Dunnet op m'n Craviotto, vandaag vervangen door de Trick.
Ik heb de weegschaal er niet bij gepakt, maar de Trick is ongeveer 2 ons lichter dan de Dunnet.

Het fijne van de Dunnet is dat je kan kiezen in welke positie je de strainer naar beneden doet, het fijne van de Trick is...de Trick.

Trick versteld niet traploos, maar zet zich telkens na een stukje "vast" net als de nieuwe strainers op de Tama Starphonics.

de oude tricks zijn wel traploos. Geen idee of die dan ook blijvenzitten zeg maar, maar die stapjes zijn er pas later bijgekomen.
